Isabella Dicken Elementary School

One of the most exciting events in our extra-curricular sports program is the Kikomun Cross Country Race.  This event, which sees the most participants and spectators, takes places at Kikomun Creek Provincial Park every May.  Students from grades two to six compete in the race.  The junior race (grades two and three) is a quick 1km route to the finish line on the beach while the students in grades four to six run a 3km loop around the lake before sprinting across the beach to the finish.  Local Lions Clubs come together and provide a free BBQ lunch to all the runners, staff and parents.
